"The Re-Opening"

The world has changed
I have changed
What was the way
Has gone away.
A sunken feeling in my chest
Coronavirus here at best.
Everything has changed
Nothing’s the same
All is unhinged
From this virus’ game.
But though all is pained
I see a new way
So patiently I stay
As moments pass by each day.
Things that never mattered
Now so priceless to me
My misconceptions shattered
Though isolated
I’m free.
To love with abandon
And to totally be
When actions really matter
Whether as one or as we!
