Grandma and Grandpa are
In the nursing home
Coronavirus is everywhere
And they are all alone.
Staff hiding the bodies
Too many have died
No clue what to do
Though they genuinely tried.
Hospitals are full
Where should they go
The toll of our dead
Nobody knows.
They’re trying to silence
The weakest of all
The stats don’t include us
Even though we too fall.
Grandma and Grandpa are
In the nursing home
Grandma’s corpse is in the closet
Grandpa’s is in the back room.
Could you have ever imagined
Such an unthinkable doom!
